The Maryland Fall Home & Garden + Craft Show has just what you’re looking for!

From Friday, October 17 through Sunday, October 19, the Cow Palace at the Maryland State Fairgrounds will be filled with the exhibitors, home improvement experts, products and family-friendly activities that Marylanders have come to expect in this 40+ year old tradition. More than 300 exhibitors, including experts located in your community, will help you figure out how to transform your home’s inefficient or less-attractive spaces into perfect places for busy families. From closet and shelving systems to complete renovation of kitchens, basements, garages, and attics, local experts, contractors and remodelers will help you plan a custom solution for how your family lives. And you’ll discover the latest products for making your home organized, safe, and enjoyable.

Just because it’s getting colder doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your outdoor spaces year-round. Local landscapers at the show will create huge, walk-through “Outdoor Oasis,” showing how your yard can be a welcome area for entertaining and living in any weather with fire pits, pergolas, patios, and grilling stations. You can also check out important home elements for harsh winters, such as gutters, roofs and windows.

The Maryland Fall Home & Garden Show is more than simply “home” and “garden.” It’s all about family fun! Kids will love the Petting Zoo with a host of live animals they can feed and they can try their stroke at a golf simulator. Mom and Dad will love meeting HGTV celebrities Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt, hosts of “100 Day Dream Home”; they’re on the Main Stage Friday at 4 pm and Saturday at noon. Throughout all three days of the show, the Main Stage schedule will include presentations about furniture restoration, winter planting and crafts ideas.

The whole family will enjoy walking through Tiny Square Space, where refurbished shipping containers have been converted to a Ravens-themed Man Cave, a She Shed, and a Tiki Bar. And it’s not too early for holiday gift shopping; the Maryland Fall Home & Garden + Craft Show will host 100+ local craftspeople who have the items that’ll be perfect for anyone on your gift list. More than 40 local food makers will share their delicious treats and you can create a beautiful wreath using fresh succulents and greenery in the Make It Take It workshops.
