Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in all 50 U.S. states and more than 70 countries to ensure everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to live. Through its partnership housing model, families contribute sweat equity and education hours while working toward stable homeownership.

Since 1982, Habitat Chesapeake has built or renovated more than 800 homes, serving 2,500+ people across Baltimore City and Baltimore, Anne Arundel, and Howard counties. In addition to building homes, Habitat Chesapeake operates five ReStores, nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials at discounted prices. ReStores not only provide affordable shopping and divert usable goods from landfills but also generate critical funding to support local housing projects.
