Description:
Since 1938, Van Dyke & Bacon Shoes has developed a proud tradition, providing fine shoes and a professional fit. We care. Special foot types need specific shoes. Our shoes are made on different molds called "last" which accommodate specific foot types. Based on the "last", our Shoe Pro's know why some shoes perform better than others. We offer shoes that best fit your feet allowing you to perform better.Quality, comfort, and fit are very important to Van Dyke & Bacon, which is why we always recommend being professionally fitted at one of our stores whenever possible. Our in-store fittings include the use of the Brannock Device to get an indication of proper size. A shoe is not truly “fitted” until it is placed on the foot. The fitting process begins with the Brannock device. The “size” is first measured heel to toe. Secondly, the arch measurement is taken from ball to heel, and lastly, width measurement is indicated on the outer side of the foot. Both feet are measured and a variety of sizes and widths may be recommended to try before making a final selection.
